Shotblasting and powdercoating in Kent

Post  George&Charlie on Thu Nov 17, 2011 1:26 pm

Hi guys, I am after getting a full set of engine tinware shotblasted and powdercoated. Can anyone recommend a local company that would be able to do this and can anyone give me a rough idea of cost I'm thinking somewhere between £100 and £200?

Cheers
George

I got quite a lot done for £100 so you might find its a bit cheaper!!

Also try Custom whytelyne in Chatham, we use them at work, very good service.

yeh just a quick update on this... B&P Blasting have moved and they dont do the powdercoating in house anymore (ie they get somebody else to do it once they have done the blasting), so chances are it might take a bit longer.
They are now in sittingbourne, but i think they still have the same contact details.
I will be using these guys in chatham now though probably.

Does anyone know what the turnaround time usually is for work done by these guys? We need to get our tinware done but I don't want to run the risk of missing a show because our engines out and the tinware's still at the powder coaters.

Cheers guys

I would guess at a week but it just depends how busy they are. Best to give them a call or take the bits up there for a quote on price and times.

I have used B&P they normally take about 2 weeks but longer if they are busy
There is a place in Lordswood industrial estate that do powder coating & stove enamelling but not sure what they are called

I took a front 2/3 seat down to custom wytelyne yesterday and got it back today! it was only £40 to get it blasted and coated and it looks like they did a pretty damn good job.
He did say it would not normally be that quick but would have only been a couple of days longer.
Very friendly, polite and good service. Top marks all round. I recommend them!
Im definately going to take some stuff to them in the very near future. The more you take at one time the cheaper it is apparently.
cheers Ade for pointing them out.
thanks
