I'll give it a go at the weekend Rob but I'm not getting my new engine back for two plus weeks. I need the van running and reliable for a family camping trip on the 3rd May....

To be honest Ade, if it rains a lot up to the weekend and the forecast for the weekend itself is bad, I may give it a miss! Sad

I dont think we know yet dude... they moved us last minute last year as where we were supposed to be was a pond (as opposed to a swamp, which has slightly more stability).
I doubt they will change it back to the concrete though.

Yo Yo Yo!
Everybody ready for Bog Bang?!!

Weather this weeks look ok - http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/nn8/extended
Probably raining over the actual weekend though! yay!
But lets face it, weather forecasts are shit and are not worth taking much notice of.

With regards to barbecue and fire - we will take the fire pit but wont be taking the big barbecue... sorry.
We will be taking a small barbecue that people are welcome to use when we are finished (or possibly at the same time as we wont have a great deal to cook).

If everybody can try and get a bag of wood each, then we should have plenty to keep us warm.
The discount place on gillingham business park does them for less than a fiver i believe.

cheers
Ben and Sam

HI Ben

Not sure you'll get away with your large fire pit. Depends how the hot the security are and whether they take a look in your van on the way in. (excuses the pun) Never been searched on the gate at big bang but have at bug jam, buts its quite common for them to stick a head in the back to check your not seeking anyone in.

from the big band web site.

"NO OPEN FIRES
Only charcoal barbecues are allowed; open fires of any sort are not permitted. Wood will not be allowed on site or to be collected from adjoining private land."

Ah bugger, we got away with it last year... But I suppose the circumstances were a bit different.
