running help needed.
the plan was to send the van to b d engineering for a tune up but as the van is so tall i dont reckon it will fit in the garage.
as some of you may know the van is running well but when it hits a hill there is no power at all barely reaches 10 mph.
George sudgested it could just be the wrong jet in the carb. is anyone available just to come and look at her running and suggest any little tweaks i can do. and weather or not it is the carb or something more serious.
due to being layed off work i now have plenty of time to concentrate on them little annoying bits that need doing.
was hoping to get my 1600 lump in garage re built but due to not having funds i am going to have to stick with the 1500 sp for now.
would be great to be able to get her running more efficiently and smoothly for when the shows start.
hopefuly even make next meet!
also have just purchased an oil breather box for van anyone know how good these are and if its worth fitting/ how hard to fit?
cheers guys!

Hi mate, I'd make sure that the carb you're running is correct first?
I'm pretty sure a 1500sp should use a 30 pict 2 carb to match the original distributor, didn't you say the carb you've got wasn't the original one?

Re: running help needed.
As some of you may know it just about got me to bhp on Monday. If anyone is about before apex to come have a little look over van to determine weather I need the carb up jetted or a new one or is it my timing if anyone has a timing gun. Or valves need adjusting. Which I have never Dow before. As I don't think it will fit in bd engeneering it means I will have to tune myself. To the best of my knowledge.
