What to do in Spain ?
Me and Rach have been staying with her mum in southern Spain for a couple of weeks and we're hoping to move down here in the not too distant future. To be honest I'm a bit bored with laying on the beach and by the the pool so i've been having a look around to see what possible work I could do here and I've found a couple of interesting places nearby.
The first one is Matt Black customs which is a small custom bike workshop 5 mins walk from Rach's mums house which also makes bespoke metal furniture. We took a walk up there this morning to meet the owner and had a look around the workshop. They mainly work with Harleys (which I'm not a fan of!) but some of the work they do is pretty cool and they're doing a couple of cafe racers which is more my thing,I showed him a few pics of my exhausts and he said to give him a shout nearer the time and to stay in touch. He was actually trying to get a customers bike finished by the end of tonight and deliver it to Portugal in the morning, if I thought I'd get away with it I'd be there now helping him

I've also found a classic vw/Porsche workshop 20 mins down the road and I'm going down to meet him tomorrow morning.

Being away from friends will be the hardest part but the flight is only 2:30 hrs so it's not like being on the other side of the world.
I don't suppose anything will happen this year but we'll get the ball rolling asap. An annual road trip would be a great idea. You can get a ferry from Portsmouth or Southampton to Bilbao in northern Spain

Aww man. I had no idea.
I suppose you have to look after #1, and if you have the opportunity then you should grab it.

It's always been Rachel's plan to end up down there but all the shit weather we've had this the year has brought it on with a bit more urgency
