Re: Night in the woods - 2nd November
I might try and do a bit of 'campervan culture' style filming for this one, so it would be cool if we could all cruise down together, or at least some of us...
Then when we are entering the woods i would want to film everybody individually from different places, therefore, speeding through is not allowed (Mikey and Ade, ha ha!).
Laurie - you might need to raise the square up a little...
Robbo - dont be a turd and bring the notch (no mondeos allowed! ha!)...
Deano - dont be afraid of getting the van dirty...
everybody else - even if you dont stay for the night, come down for the day/evening for the fire (i doubt we will do fireworks this year, but others are obviously welcome to)...
cheers
p.s, if you dont know Campervan Culture, check them out here - http://www.campervanculture.com/
although that is dangerous, as like Mikey, you will want a T25 syncro...

Re: Night in the woods - 2nd November
Right then,
fingers crossed the weather is going to be a bit better than it is at the moment. Dry would be nice...
The plan so far is this -
Head down to Dungeness on the friday afternoon for a bit of 'wild camping' by the sea. I would want to be leaving at about 3pm (3.30 latest) as it is going to be getting dark earlier by then. Drink, eat, be merry.
After a bit of morning fishing/paddling/swimming if you dare we would then head down to the woods for early afternoon, light the fire and have a few beers. It turns out i have a box of fireworks left over from last year so we will set those off if we can be bothered.
Sunday will consist of cooking breakfast on the open fire, probably a little walk and then head for home.
We will be bringing loads of wood as what is already there will probably be drenched so if you are coming please try and bring some too.
We will take the big barbecue for everybody to cook on, although the friday night we will probably just use our cooker to cook pasta or something.
If it ends up that not many people are heading down then i will probably not bother going at all and save the money/wood...
Shall we start a list?

Not sure exactly what i'll be doing yet, dont think i'll be able to bring the camper as after getting wet legs in last sundays rain storm i want to crack on and get the windscreen out this weekend. Also not sure its a good idea using it in the woods without the engine properly bolted in.
I might bring the black land rover down to the woods on saturday and kip in a tent but obviously wont be able to take it wild camping in dymchurch.

I'm up for this, the wild camping sounds like fun. I'll probably be on the motorbike though as the square is being sold and maybe gone by then. Obviously my wood carrying capability will be nil

There is a bit of grass down there at dungeness im sure so pitching a tent wont be an issue - Robbo, bring the landy down friday night too, pitch a tent or sleep in the motor.

Re: Night in the woods - 2nd November
Sorry dudes, all change...
We now wont be going to Dungeness on the friday.
We are still going to the woods on the saturday as long as a few people are going. If not many people end up going then we will probably just stay at home and save the beer for another time.
I will be having a conference call with Mikey on the friday and will then phone the other interested parties to confirm if they are going and if its worth it.
cheers!

That Lt looks the nuts but probably a bit 'extreme' for me
The Weather looks a bit shit for the weekend but I'm still up for it.
