Help required

Post  Ribbo on Tue Aug 26, 2014 1:22 am

Hi All
I was wondering whether anyone out there might be able to offer some pointers in setting up  72 Beetle ?

I have recently bought my partner her first Beetle which is a Semi Auto model as she does not drive a manual .

It runs ok but I need  bit of help to set it up and a bit of fettling .

Any help appreciated

Tea and coffee supplied

Based Gillingham

Thanks

Ribbo

Hey there Ribbo,
how are you getting on with your beetle?
Unfortunately as everybody is so busy, usually with their own projects, the chances of any one to one help is pretty slim.
What seems to be the issue with the bug?
Has it got an MOT? If so the best thing to do would be to come along to one of the meets... did you go to the one this month? i wasnt there as i was on holiday but im sure people would be willing to help out.
If you have not already got one, grab a haynes manual, or even better, is this book - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Keep-Volkswagen-Alive-Step-step/dp/1566913101

Hope to see you at a meet soon! good luck with the bug!
thanks
Ben

also, might be worth introducing yourself in the readers rides section... get a couple of pictures up there so we know what to look out for.
cheers
