Charity Moped Ride
As most of you know i'll be embarking on a 1000mile charity ride on the 7th April from J O'Groats to Lands End on a 50cc moped.
This was organised on Volkszone for www.brads.org.uk/ and will take a week ending with a Vw show in Cornwall www.vwaction.com/vwactionsw/.
Yesterday I dropped the bike off to the guy who is transporting the ped up there for me and I will not see it again until the start so hopefully i've fixed everything and she won't let me down!
It's a 2001 Piaggio NRG which has been de retricted and has a massive top speed of 50mph (even with my 10stone (ish) fat arse on it). I thought of getting an old RD/DT 50 or something with gears but i'm a lazy git so got a nice comfy 'twist and go'.
Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me and those who i haven't collared send me a text me with the amount you'd like to pledge and i'll add you to the list or you can donate at www.justgiving.com/JOGLE4BRADS.
Wish me luck
Cheers,Ade

Re: Charity Moped Ride
Hi all, got back late last night, the guy who took the ped up there and brought it back (www.preciousmetaltransport.co.uk/) lives in Essex so he dropped me and my trusty steed near the Dartford tunnel and i rode back from there.
The ped ran really well with only one little hiccup, it broke down in heavy rain on day five, a 138 mile leg from Worksop to Cirencester. The coil had either got soaked or it just failed but i had a spare on me so she was up and running again in 10mins.
Now time to bore you with my holiday snaps
Our campsite at J O'Groats.
One of many piss stops.
Our group split into two as some bikes were a lot slower than others and our 'quicker' group soon attracted the attention of Scotlands police man
Lochness
This was our campsite in the Lake District,it had been raining pretty much all day before we arrived and didn't stop all the time we were there. A low point in the trip when many thought of going home. Thankfully they didn't.
The weather improved as we headed south into the west country and our quicker group were making good progress in the drier weather so we often had time for lengthy lunch breaks
The last leg of the route was the long boring A30 so we tried to break it up by using some of the country roads which weaved through some great scenery.
Lands end
Some of the bikes that people brought along were never going to make it and some suprised us all, like this
This was ridden by a guy who quickly became known as Crazy Bob. I will tell you more about his antics later but he and his mates constantly got lost and it was soon apparent why. This was his route map
